Nigerian born Christian music artist Kemi Kayode who hails from the South-Western part of the country is out with her new single titled ‘Imole’ translated from Yoruba a popular language common to the Western part of the country to mean Light in English.

The beautiful soulful track produced by versatile music producer Coublon has a fusion of English & Yoruba languages and the rich musical culture of the Yoruba. In this song, Kemi acknowledges the glorious light of God which shines on our path spanning through generations.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, she revealed that while we’re in the dark phase of the world as recorded in Isaiah 60:2, the Lord coming upon us His children will cause His glory to be seen in us hence calling Him Imole (Light). For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. – Isaiah 60:2
